The main role of ICTs is to act as a catalyst for the learner’s interest to get acquainted with the “unknown”. Even if the content is understood, it is not obvious what to learn and why it is important to learn. At the core of curiosity is one’s existential awareness: what do I see as crucial for me and what (ICT) tools are critical in this process? It means that ICTs are a bridge between existential and intellectual aspirations.
