Abstract

The aim of this research is examine the role of SHGs in developing the socio-economic condition of the women in India. The data was gathered through authentic secondary sources such as government report, agency report and surveys. Overall, the existing literature recommends that SHGs have a positive impact on females’ socio-economic development in India, but there are also challenges and limitations associated with these groups.
